We have been looking to buy our house.  The bank said we would get a mortgage but we needed a 10% deposit.  For us to save that much for a place in London it would take us a long time.

Lee's Success

At the time of meeting David Lee in April 2003 I had been living in bed-sit accommodation during the week and returning home to my family in Shropshire at weekends.  I was looking to buy a family home in the Medway region, close to my work.

I must admit that I was very sceptical about the way David was selling the house, as I'd never heard of it before.  Even though I had my solicitor explain everything before moving in, it still seemed that there had to be a catch.

Having done most of the renovations by November I then had a 10% deposit on a higher mortgage than the banks were offering just a few months earlier.  For my efforts, the house value was also far in excess of our agreed purchase price.

I've now got a mortgage on our home with water views of the Medway.  I guess the only catch was what I could fish out of the river.  Our family would like to thank David for providing the opportunity for us to make a giant leap up the property ladder.

Paul and Sandra's Success

Our names are Paul and Sandra of Chatham.  We are married with 4 children and were living in a house that we were renting.  Paul is a plasterer and I'm a part-time supervisor when I'm not looking after the children.

Because of some financial difficulties we found getting a mortgage to be difficult.   When we answered the advertisement in the newspaper David impressed us by being very open with how the terms of the sale worked.  The house was just what we were looking for and could not have got otherwise, even though Paul had more than enough work coming up in the foreseeable future.

After being made redundant in 2001 we went downhill fast.  We had a default on our credit rating which meant no-one would consider us for finance, before that we had a triple AAA rating.  After seeing an advertisement in our local paper, we rang WeBuyHouses and discussed vendor terms and after many questions and apprehensions, we decided to go with them.  They allowed us to pay off our deposit whilst we were in our house, gave us plenty of time to do so, and always, always answered our enquiries promptly, and if we had a problem we always came up with a solution that suited both parties.  After 12 months we had refinanced, and have now sold our home and moving on to the house we really wanted.  Everything transpired smoothly.

I first found out about WeBuyHouses just over a year ago via an ad in my local paper. I was feeling miserable at the prospect of never achieving my lifelong dream of owning my own home and was searching for an alternative to the rental

My husband was injured on the job, leaving him unable to work and receiving only minimal compensation.  With a total combined income of $45,000 we didn't believe that the major banks would give us a chance. They didn't believe we could meet the stringent criteria that major financial institutions and brokers required.

When my first marriage ended I was left financially crippled, virtually bankrupt and my prospects of ever being able to purchase my own home again were slim, thanks to a blemished record with the Credit Reference Association (CRA) of Australia...
